Confirmation & First Communion

First Year Confirmation Begins in September!

Anyone entering 8th grade, or 14 years of age, can talk with Pastor Knill or someone on the Training Team about Concordia’s Confirmation Program. Students learn the basics of the Christian faith in a more concentrated way than is possible through Sunday School participation. Classes meet during the Sunday School hour throughout the school year, and on a weekday evening or Saturdays with the pastor. This is a significant program for the development of a sound foundation in the Christian faith that will help young people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and will provide a starting point to help them face the challenges of life during their teen years and beyond.

Confirmation is a two-year course that lays a basic foundation in the Christian faith, aimed at preparing young people for a more informed involvement in the life and ministry of the Christian church. If you know of a student who would be eligible, or if you would like to know more about the confirmation program at Concordia, please contact Pastor Knill.

We offer confirmation instruction for 8th and 9th graders.

We offer pre-communion instruction for 5th graders
(or 10 year-olds) and above.

Please contact us for more information about these programs.
